After a two-year hiatus, Wayne State University’s Visual Art Education and Art Therapy programs are resuming their Annual Student Exhibition. Unbreakable opens Thursday, May 19 from 5:30-8pm in the Art Department Gallery located in WSU’s Community Arts Building.

The exhibition runs from May 19 through June 24, 2022 and will feature artwork covering a variety of media and concepts created by current and graduating students. A portion of this year’s exhibition will also feature a community outreach arts initiative funded by the non-profit arts entity, ArtOps. This venture highlights a series of photographs created by middle school students from Barber Preparatory Academy in Highland Park, Michigan; the art project was created as a way to bring a Pandemic-friendly art experience to underserved students as well as provide instructional experience to future art educators.
