Barber Preparatory Academy students ages 8-10 earned an award at the Pumpkin Art Coloring Contest this Halloween, with the help of their wonderful art teacher, Ms. McDaniels. This fantastic exhibition will be on display at Joe's Produce Gourmet Market for the rest of fall.

The Highland Park School District kicks off the 2022-23 school year with the Back-to-School Jazz Jam! The HPSD Board of Education hosted jazz music, poetry, a book-bag giveaway, food, live entertainment, and more for the family.

To provide gifts for children throughout the holiday season, the City of Highland Park Board of Education, in cooperation with The Cochrane House and Huntington Bank, held a Books, Bears, and Make Believe Holiday Giveaway for Barber Preparatory Academy. We had an amazing day giving back to our community and our wonderful scholars.

The City of Highland Park has dedicated a street sign to honor the parents of Board of Education Member Linda Wheeler. Earl and Naomi Wheeler made significant contributions to our community, and we are proud to recognize the "Wheeler Way."
